We have closed ‘Op Sindur’ on our own terms, ready for a long battle: Rajnath Singh
New Delhi: Recalling an old mantra ‘Bhai Bin Hai Na Preet’ (There can be no love without fear), the Defense Minister Rajnath Singh Thursday said, “Operation Sindur has sent an unequivocal global message that India is no longer bound by the old mindset of only making diplomatic statements during terrorist attacks on its soil. A strong deterrence is essential for peace and stability in international relations.”Ahead of Op Sindur anniversary on May 7, the Defense Minister, during the ANI National Security Summit here, termed Pakistan as the epicenter of international terrorism and stressed that the ideological and political roots of terrorism need to be uprooted. “Terrorism stems from a distorted mindset. Attempts are made to justify it by giving it a religious color or linking it to a violent ideology. It is a disgrace to the entire humanity. Today, India is known globally for IT, i.e. information technology, whereas Pakistan is considered another IT, hub of international terrorism,” he said.Rajnath’s stern statement comes at a time when Pakistan, which is home to terror outfits like LeT and JeM, is trying to play a peace-making role in the US-Iran talks. “Op Sindur has sent an unequivocal global message that India is no longer bound by the old mindset of merely issuing diplomatic statements during terrorist attacks on its soil. The operation was a concrete expression of deterrence,” he said.“Op Sindur may have been completed in just 72 hours, but I want to clarify, the preparations behind it were very long. Op Sindur is still going on. And we are fully prepared to fight a long war if necessary. Our augmentation capacity, our storage capacity, the credibility of our indigenous weapons – all these have become part of our deterrence. “Today we have added India’s military operations and three-pronged military operations,” he added. CoordinatingEmphasizing on the role of AI across various domains, he said, “The Sudarshan Air Defense System is a massive project that serves as a prime example of exemplary application of AI. By leveraging AI, machine learning and big data science, our defense forces have laid out a roadmap to leverage emerging AI-based strategies to enhance their capabilities in a more challenging future. Responsive in the future.”In his recent visit to Germany, Rajnath said that major companies across Europe are keen to collaborate with our private defense firms and PSUs, calling it proof of India’s growing credibility.
