Harshali spat on Salman’s hand 20 times: Actor Manoj Bakshi of the film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ shared the story of the shooting.
Actor Manoj Bakshi recently shared an incident related to the sets of the film Bajrangi Bhaijaan. He told that during the shooting, child artist Harshali Malhotra had to spit on Salman Khan’s hand several times due to the need of the scene. Manoj told that Salman extended his hand about 20 times without any hesitation. Manoj Bakshi shared an experience of shooting Bajrangi Bhaijaan in The VT Show Podcast. He told that during that time he realized that despite being a superstar, Salman Khan’s behavior is very simple and polite. Harshali had to do a scene of eating non-veg. According to Manoj, in a scene of the film, Harshali Malhotra, playing the character of Munni, was to be shown eating non-veg while looking towards the camera. As per the instructions of director Kabir Khan, she had to eat slowly, but many times a big piece of food would come into her mouth, which she could not chew. In such a situation, instead of stopping the shooting, Salman Khan extended his hand and asked Harshali to spit in it. According to Manoj Bakshi, this happened about 20 times during the scene and Salman did not express discomfort even once. Manoj told that after seeing this he asked Salman why he was doing this for someone else’s child. To this Salman replied that he is like that. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released in the year 2015. The bonding of Salman Khan and Harshali Malhotra in the film was greatly appreciated by the audience and the film proved to be a big success at the box office. Manoj Bakshi has also appeared in films like Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Delhi Belly, Madaari, No One Killed Jessica, Gadar 2 and others. Whereas, Harshali Malhotra was selected for Bajrangi Bhaijaan after auditioning about 5,000 girls. She was six years old at the time of the film and is now 18 years old. She is also working in South Indian films.
