Claim- Dhurandhar 2 became number-1 trending film in Pakistan: Pakistani creator said- Got 20 crore views in 24 hours on Netflix, server crashed
After Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 was released on Netflix in Pakistan, the platform’s server crashed and it became the number-1 trending movie there. This claim was made by Pakistani content creator Mavia Omar Farooqui. However, there has been no official confirmation of the server crash. Farooqui shared a video on his Instagram page. In the video, he said that people in Pakistan were waiting for the release of the film since 12 midnight and as soon as it was released, a large number of people tried to watch the film together. In the video, he also said that despite criticism of the film being propaganda, people in Pakistan were eager to watch it. According to him, the audience wanted to know how the film was made, how Ranveer Singh has played the role and how accurate the events of Lyari shown in the film are. Claim of 20 crore views in 24 hours: In another video, Farooqui claimed that Dhurandhar 2 is trending at number 1 on Netflix in Pakistan. According to Mavia, the film was watched about 200 million times in Pakistan in the last 24 hours and it became the biggest trending film in the country. He said that before in Pakistan no film had achieved the number-1 position in just 24 hours of its release. Dhurandhar 2 streamed on Netflix on May 15 in Pakistan. The film released internationally on Netflix with the title Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Raw & Undkha). The 3 hours 52 minutes uncut version of the film is available on Netflix Pakistan. It features approximately 3 minutes of new action scenes and some raw footage, which was removed from the Indian theatrical version. Viewers in Pakistan and other countries can currently watch this film on Netflix, but it is not available on Netflix in India. The digital rights of Dhurandhar 2 in India are with JioHotstar, where it will release on June 4, 2026. The digital premiere of the film is scheduled for June 4 at 7 pm. Streaming was announced on social media. The streaming platform gave information about the OTT release of the film on its official Instagram handle. It was written in the post, ‘The one who is coming in the form of a storm is called Dhurandhar. Watch Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Raw and Undekha. Grand Digital Premiere on 4th June at 7 pm, streaming starts from 5th June only on Jio-Hotstar. India’s second highest-grossing film, Dhurandhar 2 made a record of becoming the second highest-grossing film in India by doing well at the box office. According to Sacknilk, the film has so far earned around ₹1145 crore net collection in India and around ₹1797 crore gross worldwide. The film featured long star cast Dhurandhar 2 starring Ranveer Singh in the lead role. Apart from this, actors like Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Gaurav Gera and Rakesh Bedi were also seen in the film. Whereas Akshay Khanna also played an important role in the first part. Both films Dhurandhar (2025) and Dhurandhar 2 (2026) were directed by Aditya Dhar. The film has been produced jointly by Jyoti Deshpande and Aditya Dhar under the banners of Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
