We promise that we will give you a film that you will enjoy as well as celebrate, a film that will become a proud moment for Indian cinema. – Yash The release of the film has been postponed for the second time. It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that the release date of the film has been postponed. The original release date of the film was 19 March 2026, which was shifted to 4 June 2026. The makers had said in an official statement that the ongoing tension in the Middle East was affecting the cinema work, due to which this decision was taken. At the same time, the second reason for this was also said that the film Toxic was going to clash with Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2 when it was released on March 19 and to avoid any loss to the film, the film was postponed. OTT Rights Deadlock: On April 27, M9 News had claimed in its report that the June 4 date of Toxic would also be pushed forward and one of the reasons for this was OTT rights deadlock. Producers (KVN Productions) are asking for Rs 250 crore for digital rights, but OTT platforms are offering only around Rs 110 crore. This difference is so big that the deal is stuck. VFX and Audio Quality Issue: Since the beginning, the VFX and audio quality of the film has also been an issue regarding the release of the film. Always Bollywood had claimed that Yash was not satisfied with the VFX and background audio in the internal screening in early March. The quality of the key scenes seemed low, hence extra time was asked to be polished. However, some sources had also denied it. Accused of spreading obscenity. In the teaser released in January 2026, there was a dispute between actor Yash and model Beatriz Taufenbach over a scene shown inside a car. The women’s wing of Karnataka’s Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Women’s Commission and Censor Board (CBFC), calling it obscene and against moral values. Taking cognizance of the complaint, Karnataka Women’s Commission had written a letter to CBFC asking it to investigate this material and submit a report.
