The body of 28-year-old female constable Jyoti Paswan, posted at Huzurpur police station in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging in the staff room on Monday evening. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was panic among the police officers.
Kaiserganj Area Officer (CO) DK Srivastava said that Jyoti Paswan was originally a resident of Maharajganj district. His family had recently started living in Kanpur and after receiving information about the incident, the family Bahraich Left for.
According to the police, no suicide note has been recovered from the spot. At present the reasons for suicide have not been known. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
CO DK Srivastava said that the matter is being investigated seriously. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report and facts revealed in the investigation. At present the police is investigating keeping all the aspects in mind.
