Shahrukh’s King earned ₹250 crore before release: More than half of the film’s budget covered, Penn Marudhar bought distribution rights




Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film King has earned Rs 250 crore even before its release. The budget of the film is said to be Rs 400 crore. That means more than half the budget of the film was covered. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, film distribution company Pen Marudhar bought the All India distribution rights of the film King for Rs 250 crore. This is considered to be one of the biggest theatrical deals of this year. Let us tell you that Penn Marudhar has a long association with Shahrukh Khan’s production house. The company has previously released films like Jawan, Danky, Zero, Badla and Ittefaq. A.A. Films, Jio Studios, PVR Inox Pictures, Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions also bid for the domestic rights of the film. There will be a big clash in Christmas 2026. King will be released during Christmas 2026, when Hollywood films like Jumanji, Avengers: Doomsday and Dune 3 will also be released. Considering this competition, a bigger theatrical release is being planned for the film. Apart from Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukherjee, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Anil Kapoor, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi will also be seen in the film. King’s story is based on the journey of a mentor and a disciple who struggle for survival in difficult circumstances.
