New Delhi: At the IIT2026 global conference in California, Isha founder Sadhguru said India “should be seen not as a nation, but as a civilization,” highlighting what he described as a long tradition of combining spiritual inquiry with intellectual and scientific pursuits.Addressing a gathering of over 2,500 attendees, including entrepreneurs and technologists, he spoke about the pace of global change and the growing role of artificial intelligence. He notes that technological advances can compress generational changes into shorter time frames, placing greater emphasis on human transparency and stability.Sadhguru also said that as machines can increasingly manage data and memory, human capabilities should expand beyond information processing. Referring to the human system as a “sophisticated technology”, he emphasizes the need to better understand human potential in the context of rapid technological change.The IIT2026 Global Conference, held from April 22 to 25 at the Long Beach Convention Center, marked 75 years of the IIT System and discussed artificial intelligence, innovation, sustainability and global collaboration.
