New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday arrested a senior DGCA official and a representative of a non-governmental organization in a Rs 2.5 lakh bribe case.According to an official statement, the officer was the Deputy Director General of Airworthiness Directorate of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in New Delhi.“The CBI has registered the instant case on 18.04.2026 against an official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and a representative of a private organization based in New Delhi alleging that the accused government servant of the DGCA demanded undue benefits from private individuals instead of granting approval and permission,” the agency sued the DGCA.Later, the central agency also searched the premises belonging to the accused and other private persons at four places.

“Consequently, searches were conducted by the CBI at the premises of the accused government servants and other private persons at 04 locations in Delhi resulting in the seizure of cash, gold and silver coins worth Rs 37 lakh and several digital devices,” the statement said.According to the statement, searches led to the seizure of Rs 37 lakh in cash, gold and silver coins and multiple digital devices.
