Human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalda is again in the news after being removed from the OTT platform just 2 days after the release of Punjabi actor Diljit Dosanjh’s film Satluj (Punjab 95). Jaswant Khalda had collected records from crematorium, municipal corporation and other places and claimed that during the era of terrorism, 25 thousand youth were killed in fake police encounters in Punjab. Then they were burnt as abandoned. Jaswant Khalda was kidnapped and murdered from outside his house. After this his wife Paramjeet Kaur Khalda fought a long battle of 16 years. After which the guilty policemen were punished. She fought for justice for her husband from the trial court to the Supreme Court.
