A massive fire broke out in a factory in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to the national capital Delhi, on the night of 6 and 7 July. The incident took place in Sector 88 under Phase-2 police station of Noida. After receiving the information, eight fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. The fire could be controlled after hard work for about two and a half hours. The cause of the fire could not be known.
According to the information, smoke was seen rising late in the night in a factory named Surabhi International located in B Block of Sector-88 of Phase-2 police station area. The security guard posted in the factory saw smoke rising from the rear side and immediately informed the fire brigade. Noida Chief Fire Officer Pradeep Kumar said that information about the fire was received at 11.15 pm.

According to the CFO, the initial information was about a massive fire, after which eight fire brigade vehicles were immediately sent to the spot. By then the flames had engulfed the ground floor as well as the first floor. Eight fire brigade vehicles brought the fire under control after about two and a half hours of effort. It is a matter of relief that the factory was closed at the time of the incident and no employee was inside.

The cause of the fire could not be known. However, it is feared that a short circuit in the electrical panel of the factory could be the reason. The damage caused by the fire is being assessed.
