New Delhi: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Charged up on Monday released a video message TMCAs the initial trend seems to be suggesting the BJP’s growth across the state, its canvassing agents said, “There is no need to despair” as only two to three rounds of canvassing have been completed, with more than 15 rounds still to go.Instructing party candidates and counting agents not to leave the counting centre, Mamata said her party would win after sunset and “no one needs to fear”.Mamata, who is seeking a fourth straight term, alleged foul play by the Election Commission and claimed that the BJP had a plan to show itself ahead.“They have stopped counting at many places. Such machines have been found in Kalyani, where there is no match; atrocities are being carried out against the TMC from all sides through central forces,” claimed Mamata.Mamata again reiterated her “vote theft through SIR” allegations, saying TMC was “leading in more than 100 seats, which is not being reported”.“Through SIR, they tried to steal votes, and still, we are leading in more than 100 seats, which is not being reported. Everything is being misreported. The Election Commission is working completely on its own whim, and the central forces are also with them. The police are also working with the central forces,” he alleged.He added: “I am telling the party workers that there is no need to despair; you will win after sunset. 2-4 rounds are counted, 14-18 rounds are counted and we will win. No one needs to fear.”In the West Bengal elections, early counting trends indicate a strong surge for the BJP, with the party crossing the majority mark of 148 seats and leading in over 180 constituencies at various points during the counting process.Meanwhile, the TMC is significantly behind, hovering around 90 seats from its initial high.These numbers point to a possible change in the political landscape of the state, which has been dominated by the TMC for over a decade.
