'Tell us how much black money has been recovered': Arvind Kejriwal targets PM Modi over raid on AAP leaders

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate On Friday, Punjab Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora searched the premises. As part of the ongoing investigation, raids were conducted at several locations linked to Arora in Ludhiana and elsewhere, officials said. The AAP leader had faced agency action in 2024, when the ED alleged that firms linked to him and others had caused losses to the state exchequer and generated huge proceeds of crime through alleged misuse of industrial land for residential projects.Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvid Kejriwal criticized the raid, noting that it marked a second raid. Writing in X, he questioned whether any “black money” had actually been recovered in the numerous raids targeting AAP figures.Reacting to the development, senior AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj wrote on X: “ED has now launched a raid against Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora. This is how BJP starts preparing for a state election.” His comments came amid back-to-back actions involving AAP figures in Punjab over the past two days.Earlier this week, the ED searched AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Kumar Mittal’s residence in Jalandhar, along with premises linked to his educational institutes in Punjab and Haryana under FEMA provisions. The campaign attracted attention soon after Mittal was appointed deputy leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha, replacing Raghav Chadha.
