New Delhi: The accused in the murder of an IRS officer’s daughter was arrested by the Delhi Police on Wednesday, news agency ANI reported. He was taken into custody after being tracked to a hotel in Dwarka.The 22-year-old woman was murdered in South Delhi’s Amar Colony area. Investigators suspect that she was strangled, possibly using a mobile phone charging cable recovered from the scene.According to Delhi Police, the main suspect, identified as Rahul, was initially absconding, prompting multiple teams to launch a search operation to trace him. During the investigation, the officers reached his residence in Alwar, where it emerged that he was allegedly involved in a molestation incident in his area just a day before the murder.A senior police officer said, the incident was reported on Wednesday when his parents were out for a walk. It is suspected that the domestic help entered the house and killed the woman. “He was recently removed from the job,” police said.
