Later he will visit the Netherlands, Sweden and Italy. If the Prime Minister’s proposed stopover in the UAE materialises, it will give India an important opportunity to show solidarity with a country with which it has one of the most fruitful strategic partnerships in the Gulf region.Modi has already spoken to President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan twice and condemned the violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by Iran which launched attacks on GCC countries.
