Give befitting reply to Delhi landlords: Mamata in her Bengali New Year message

Kolkata: On the occasion of Bengali New Year, West Bengal Chief Minister Dr Mamata Banerjee Wished the people a ‘Poyala Boishakh’ and urged voters to give a befitting reply to the efforts of “Delhi landlords” to disenfranchise the people.In a post on X, he hoped that Bengali New Year would make people’s lives “taint-free”. He also highlighted Bengal’s cultural heritage, adding that the state stands as a symbol of communal harmony.The current chief minister alleged that some “rogue forces” were trying to destroy this harmony and accused the “zamindars of Delhi” of trying to disenfranchise the people.“Remember, we must democratically give them a befitting reply,” Banerjee told X Post.Calling for unity, he called on people to break down the “walls of narrow-mindedness” and pledge to stand united against divisive and authoritarian forces.He urged voters to uphold their democratic rights by voting in the upcoming assembly elections.
