New Delhi: A 23-year-old woman has accused a man and his accomplices of abducting, gang-raping and forcing her into a forced marriage in southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar, the police agency told PTI. Four of the six accused, including a woman, have been arrested, and the main accused is currently lodged in Ghaziabad’s Dasna Jail in another case.Police said the accused befriended the woman on social media using a fake identity. The woman approached the police on May 14 and alleged that she was abducted and forced to marry the accused after being converted. She also claimed that she was repeatedly sexually assaulted between 2021 and 2025.Based on her complaint, the police registered a case under several sections of the Indian Penal Code, including kidnapping, rape, criminal intimidation, wrongful detention and criminal conspiracy.Investigators said the main accused is also suspected of involvement in illegal arms trade. However, police officials said that no firearms have been recovered so far.Transit remand of the main accused has been secured and he will be brought to Delhi for further interrogation, a police official said. Police teams are also expected to revisit the alleged crime scenes to reconstruct the sequence of events
