Comedian and actor Veer Das has strongly condemned the closure of the account of Cockroach Janata Party. He says that time will tell whether the movement of this party is right or not. However, the sentiment of supporting the youth is completely clear and justified.
Veer Das has written from the official social media account,
Whether Cockroach Janata Party is really a proper movement or not is not the real question right now. Time will answer this. But the support he received, the emotion seen among the youth and the kind of things that came to light, all are completely genuine and legitimate. And if that wasn’t enough, his stupid act of closing his account further proved his point.

What is Cockroach Janata Party and why there was controversy
Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant, while hearing a petition on May 15, compared unemployed youth to cockroaches. The statement soon went viral, after which Abhijeet Deepak created an account named Cockroach Janata Party.
In this account, memes against the government and youth issues were posted which started going viral and soon the followers of the account started increasing rapidly.

On May 18, the number of followers of this account first reached 5 million, then 10 and then 13 million, after which it got national coverage. And CJP (Cockroach Janata Party) came into trend. In just 4 days, the number of followers of this account has increased to 22 million, whereas till now Bharatiya Janata Party has only 9 million followers.
On May 21, the X account of Cockroach Janata Party was suspended, after which a new account was created, in which it was written, Cockroaches do not die.

Soon the followers of this second account also started increasing.
Now today, Abhijeet Deepak, the creator of the page, claimed on X that his Instagram account has been hacked. They are not able to log in to their account, although the account is still visible to the users.
