BJP National President Nitin Naveen has said that the BJP will contest the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.Naveen said the party will present Dhami as its face for the 2027 elections, hinting at the BJP’s strategy for the state polls.In an interview with a Hindi news channel, he said the Dhami government focused on development and governance, citing administrative transparency and provision of basic amenities in remote areas. He also said that Uttarakhand has seen progress in recent years, noting that every state faces challenges.The statement comes amid earlier comments by senior BJP leaders about Dhami’s leadership.During his visit to Dehradun, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Dhami’s work. At an event in Haldwani, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described him as a “great leader”.During his visit to Haridwar, Home Minister Amit Shah also termed the state government’s policies as people-centric and expressed confidence in the BJP’s hat-trick victory.
