Rajasthan factory fire : 8 people burnt alive in explosion at illegal fireworks manufacturing unit
At least eight workers were burnt alive and two are feared trapped after a massive fire broke out at an illegal fireworks unit in Bhiwadi industrial area of Rajasthan’s Alwar, officials said. They added that around 25 workers were present when the stored gunpowder and cardboard caught fire, which quickly intensified the fire. Nearby factories were evacuated and power cut as fire tenders battled for hours to bring the blaze under control. Eyewitnesses said that the sound of three to four explosions spread panic in the area. Read the full story

Delhi High Court granted interim bail to Rajpal Yadav in check bounce case
The Delhi High Court granted interim bail to actor Rajpal Yadav after he deposited Rs 1.5 crore in the check-bounce case that landed him in custody in Tihar Jail. The High Court adjourned his sentence till March 18 subject to a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh and surety of the same amount. This relief came after the court noted that the money had been credited to the respondent’s account.
