Nishikant urges LS Speaker for parliamentary probe into Rahul’s ‘unethical conduct’, revoking his membership | India News
New Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has launched a scathing attack on the matter, urging Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to investigate the “immoral conduct” of Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and discuss the matter in the House. Congress leader One day he accused the government of compromising India’s interests in a trade deal with the US.“Constitution of a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee to probe his continued misbehavior of Shri Rahul Gandhi, MP – to destabilize the country and withdraw his ‘MP status’,” is the subject of the letter submitted to Dubey Birla. Among the issues flagged by Dubey in a letter to Birla were Rahul’s frequent trips abroad, particularly to Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and Bahrain. He alleged that Rahul neither requests the government to extend his security cover to the countries he visits nor informs the Indian embassy when he goes abroad. His tours are always shrouded in mystery, he says, adding to his association with the Ford Foundation.“We all know that the ‘Ford Foundation’ is a notorious organization for destabilizing various states through ‘regime change’,” he said, insisting on a probe into the financing of his visit.Dubey, a staunch critic of the Nehru-Gandhi family, alleged that Rahul had become a part of the party to destabilize India. His “relentless and well-choreographed actions” inside and outside Parliament, which are hostile to the country, are being debated everywhere, he claimed.“If I, as a responsible public representative – even with a small sphere of influence and a humble background – fail to bring this to your kind notice, I will not be doing justice to my constitutional duty to uphold the unity, integrity and sovereignty of our country,” he told Birla. While MPs avoided dragging the armed forces into political point-scoring, Rahul spoke of former army chief General (retd) MM Naravane and cited his unpublished book “intentions to shamelessly implicate the Indian Army, the Ministry of Defense as well as our Prime Minister,” said the fourth-term Lok Sabha MP.“This is not the first time that Rahul Gandhi has tried to create controversies with the intention of discrediting the government – be it on defence, finance, trade, foreign affairs. Parliament as well as other public forums have an uncanny ability to inflame public sentiments by raising unproven and unethical aspects,” he said. This is due to his association with George Soros, a billionaire investor whom the BJP has accused of funding funds against the Indian government.Rahul also suggested that the Indian banking system was collapsing because of its collusion with big business, which was nothing but an attempt to destabilize the country from within, he said.Dubey said it was only the tip of the iceberg, accusing Rahul of using his position as LoP to stir public sentiments, making unsubstantiated allegations not only against the Election Commission but also against the Supreme Court, defaming the government without any evidence and casting various other institutions in a bad light.
