New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Law and Justice Dr Arjun Ram Meghwal launched “The Medicolegal Guidebook” on Sunday in an effort to bridge the interface between medicine and law to ensure patient safety, ethical practice and legal compliance in healthcare.The book is co-authored by Deepak Singla, Medical Director, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital; Arushi Singla, Pediatric Endocrinologist, ESIC Medical College and Hospital; Senior Advocate Rakesh Malhotra; and Advocate Kushal Malhotra.Addressing the gathering, the authors said the guidebook equips healthcare professionals with hands-on medico-legal guidance, which helps strengthen patient protection, ethical responsibility and quality of care.The book was launched in the presence of senior figures from the legal and medical community, including Meena Subas Gupta, Sushil Gupta, Anil Aggarwal, former Supreme Court Justice Hima Kohli, and High Court judge Justice Madhu Jain.
