CM Vijay & Sangeetha Divorce Hearing Adjourned to August 7

The hearing of the ongoing divorce case between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and former actor Vijay and his wife Sangeeta was held in the Women’s Court of Chengalpattu district on Monday, but both the parties did not appear in the court. The court had earlier ordered for personal appearance. The next hearing of the case will now be on August 7.
The first hearing of this case was held on 20 April. Even then Vijay and Sangeeta had not reached the court and only the lawyers appeared on their behalf.
According to Hindustan Times report, the lawyers had sought permission for online hearing citing security and other arrangements, but the court had rejected this demand. The court had ordered both of them to be personally present in the hearing on June 15. Despite this, both did not reach the court on Monday.
Let us tell you that in the beginning of 2026, Sangeeta had filed a divorce petition from Vijay.
Vijay accused of extra marital affair
Vijay married Sangeetha Sornalingam in 1999. From this marriage, they had two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Sasha.
According to India Today report, Sangeeta had accused husband Vijay of extra marital affair in her divorce petition. However, he did not take anyone’s name.
