Country knows you are naked, why strip: PM Modi on Congress protest at global AI summit | India News
Meerut/New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi “The country already knows you are naked, so what was the need to undress,” he said on Sunday. Congress To use the Global AI Summit to showcase his “Gandhi and Nangi (dirty and shameless)” politics in front of foreign guests, report Sandeep Rai and Kumar Rakesh. He also pinned the Youth Congress shirtless protest on the party’s “reckless and unbridled” leader, a subtle jab at Rahul Gandhi. “The whole country was full of pride (about Samanmeet) but what has Congress and its ecosystem done? Congress has turned a global event in India into an arena for its dirty and naked politics,” he said. Modi noted that there are dissenting voices within the opposition bloc.In his first comment on the Youth Congress’ unprecedented protest on Friday, Modi told a rally in Meerut where he dedicated the entire 82-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor to the nation that the opposition had broken all rules regardless of whether it was a national event and not of the BJP.Before hitting the Congress, he asked the crowd of supporters, “Wouldn’t everyone feel proud of the summit that attracted representatives from around the world, including 20 heads of government?” “The whole country was proud but what did the Congress and its ecosystem do. The Congress has turned a global phenomenon of India into an arena for its dirty and naked politics. Congress members have stripped their clothes in front of foreign guests,” he said, adding that the party’s “reckless and unbridled” leader is bent on destroying the country in his quest to become prime minister.Modi twisted the knife more. “Congress has broken all norms. It has become a burden for the country,” he said and named several other opposition parties like TMC, DMK, NC and BSP for not being a part of this “sin” while Congress workers instead of feeling embarrassed about the incident are glorifying the protesters which has “shamed” the nation.Noting that Congress allies were criticizing the party for its protests, he said that the Congress was unable to perform in Parliament and was not allowing others to perform. These parties have realized that they are the biggest victims of Congress animosity, he said.
