10 ministers allotted portfolios, CM Vijay keeps home, police & public administration

The new Tamilga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) government has been assigned the latest major administrative development after decades of alternating rule between the DMK and AIADMK in the state.Vijay was sworn in as chief minister earlier this month after TVK emerged as the single largest party and got the support of alliance partners to form the government.   • Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay will hold the Public Administration, General Administration, Police, Women Welfare and Youth Development portfolios. He also carved out sports development as an independent ministry, a departure from the previous DMK structure.
  • Adhav Arjun has been allotted the public works department and will also handle sports development.
  • N Anand has been given the rural development portfolio.
  • KA Sengottaiyan appointed Finance Minister.
  • KG Arunraj will serve as the Health Minister.
  • CTR Nirmal Kumar will oversee the Energy Resources and Legal Division.
  • Rajamohan has taught schools including archeology including information and publicity and Tamil development.
  • S Keerthana has been entrusted with the industrial portfolio.
  • P Venkataraman will handle food and civil supplies.
  • TK Prabhu has been made Natural Resources Minister.
