Indian Navy is providing security to its ships after the war started
Earlier, 11 other ships have also crossed the Strait of Hormuz, which were safely escorted by the Indian Navy to different Indian ports. The Indian Navy is not only helping these ships cross the strait, but is also in constant touch with them since the start of the war. The Navy is providing all assistance to keep Indian flagged ships safe and to transit the strait through new safe sea routes.
After the start of the war, the Indian Navy has also deployed additional task forces to protect Indian ships in the Persian Gulf. Although the Indian Navy is not directly entering the Persian Gulf, it is providing navigation and communication support to Indian ships to keep them safe and cross the Strait of Hormuz.
As soon as these ships cross the Persian Gulf, Indian Navy warships take over the responsibility of protecting them from the Gulf of Oman to Indian ports via the North Arabian Sea. The Prime Minister, Defense Minister, CDS and Navy Chief are continuously monitoring these activities, where the Navy is escorting these ships.
