The murder case of 17 year old Surya Chauhan in Ghaziabad on the day of Bakrid has shocked the entire area. A viral video of this incident in Khoda’s Navneet Vihar has made the matter even more sensitive. In the video, the alleged murder accused are seen holding Surya.
According to the information, Surya Chauhan was attacked with knives by some youths on the day of Eid. Seriously injured Surya was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida Sector-62 for treatment, where he died during treatment.
As soon as the news of Surya’s death was received, there was chaos in the family and anger spread in the area. After Surya’s murder, there is a tense atmosphere in the area and heavy police force has been deployed.
A video related to Surya’s murder is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, some youths are seen standing holding Surya. Local people claim that the video is from just before the murder. However, the police have not yet confirmed the viral video.
Demand for encounter of the accused
The mother, sister and other relatives of the deceased are in bad condition and crying. The family alleges that Surya has been brutally murdered. The family members have demanded from the administration that strict action should be taken against the accused involved in the murder. The family has also raised the demand for encounter of the accused and bulldozer action on their houses.
As soon as Surya’s body reached his home after post-mortem, a large number of local people and workers associated with many Hindu organizations gathered at the spot. In view of the tense situation in the area, the administration tightened the security arrangements. Heavy police force remained deployed at the spot for several hours and officials continuously monitored the situation.

To control the situation, apart from Khoda police station, police from Indirapuram, Kaushambi, Sahibabad, Kotwali Nagar, Wave City and Vijayanagar were also deployed. Ghaziabad Police forces from several police stations were called to the spot. As a precautionary measure, the police also kept the nearby markets closed and conducted continuous patrolling in the area.
DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal himself reached the spot and met the family members of the deceased. He assured the family that strict legal action will be taken against the culprits in the case and no accused will be spared.
DCP City Dhawal Jaiswal said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased and the accused already knew each other and were friends. After a dispute over riding a bike, the accused got angry and attacked with a knife. A case has been registered on the basis of the complaint of the family members.
3 accused arrested, 2 absconding
He told that the police had named 5 accused by the family, out of which 3 named accused have been arrested so far, while continuous raids are being conducted in search of two accused. Soon the remaining accused will also be arrested.
After the incident, ADM City Vikas Kashyap also met the family members. He said that the district administration stands with the family of the deceased and all possible help will be provided. The administrative officials explained to the family and the local people for a long time, after which the family agreed for the last rites.
Funeral amid heavy security
In view of the tense atmosphere and fears of protests, Surya Chauhan’s body was taken to the cremation ground for cremation amid heavy police security. Police force remained deployed throughout the route and the officers themselves monitored the security arrangements.
Police officials say that the case is being investigated from every aspect. Viral videos, eyewitness statements and other evidence have also been included in the investigation. Officials said that further action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation.
