The marriage of this eccentric person took place in the year 2023. According to family members, the husband was constantly suspicious of his wife. If the wife goes to her parents’ house, picks up the phone late or talks too much to a relative, he starts getting suspicious. Gradually this suspicion increased so much that the husband started feeling that his wife was having an affair with someone else. However, these allegations were never confirmed. But this seed of doubt continued to grow in his mind.
Meanwhile, distance started growing in the relationship between husband and wife. Disputes increased between the two and the wife started living in her maternal home. From here the matter became more serious. It is alleged that the husband started using his wife’s personal photos and videos to defame her. The clip started going viral on social media.
When the wife came to know about this, it was not just a family dispute for her, but became a question of her dignity, privacy and social standing. It may be difficult for many people to understand why someone would do this?
According to investigating officers, two reasons often arise in such cases. First, the mentality of revenge. Second, the sudden desire to be in the news on social media. It is alleged that in this case also both the things are visible together. During investigation, the police came to know that the accused was active on social media for a long time. He wanted to be famous and in this attempt he crossed that limit. He started sharing private video clips and pictures of his wife on social media. When the wife came to know, she was surprised. He finally contacted the cyber police.
Imagine, on one side there is a woman, whose personal life suddenly starts reaching the world of social media. On the other side is her husband, who feels that what he is doing is a response to anger. Katihar The victim herself complained about this matter to the cyber police station. In the complaint lodged on January 9, 2026, she alleged that her husband was continuously posting her personal photos and videos on social media.
Complaint was registered and investigation started. The police started scanning the digital evidence. Social media accounts, posts and electronic devices were examined. Even after the complaint was registered, the accused was not caught by the police. He avoided arrest for some time. During this time, the cyber police was continuously searching for him. Based on technical surveillance and local information, the police finally arrested him.
The things said by the accused during interrogation after his arrest brought the whole matter into further discussion. He admitted that he had posted the content on social media, but attributed it to anger and suspicion towards his wife. He said that he was angry with his wife and out of that anger he took this step.
Katihar Cyber DSP Asif Alam says that sharing a person’s personal photos or videos on social media without his permission is a legal offense. Be it husband, wife, friend or anyone else. No one has the right to violate someone’s privacy.
The police have also seized the mobile phone of the accused. During the investigation, it is said that some personal photos and videos were found in the mobile. Now forensic investigation of these digital evidence will be done to find out where the content was shared and whether any attempt was made to delete or hide it.
