In Ketan’s case, the angle from which the police is pursuing its investigation, the most important motive i.e. the motive of murder is the same since day one. And that is that Siya loved Chetan and not Ketan and wanted to marry Chetan only. But against her wishes, her family fixed her relationship with Ketan and got them engaged.
By capturing Siya and Chetan’s call details, messages, meetings between the two and statements of many people, Pune Police will easily prove the relationship between Chetan and Siya. Perhaps Siya and Chetan themselves may also confirm their relationship. But Chetan and Siya were in love and Siya did not want to marry Chetan, just because of this she killed Ketan. How will Pune Police prove this? Sia was with Ketan on the morning of 18th June i.e. the day of the accident when Ketan fell into the ditch, on the basis of this alone, Sia could not be held as Ketan’s murderer.

Now, if it is proved in the court that it was because of Ketan that Sia had gone to the mountain that day, then the theory of Sia’s conspiracy to kill Ketan by throwing him into a ditch will surely fail.
Even the recreation or dummy trial of Pune Police will not be of any benefit nor will any new evidence be found. Whether Ketan fell due to being pushed from the hill or due to slipping, in both the cases no recreation can tell the 100% truth as to where and how far the body fell.
