Actor Gulshan Grover told that recently Shatrughan Sinha had told him that he should have played the role of Rahman dacoit played by Akshay Khanna in the film Dhurandhar. Actually, Gulshan Grover is promoting his upcoming series Matka King these days. During this, he talked about the return of old trends in the industry. Speaking to India Today, Grover said that cinema is going through a phase where old styles, characters and ways of storytelling are making a comeback. According to him, from fashion to films, the impact of nostalgia is clearly visible. The actor said that nowadays old fashion trends like bell-bottom are coming back. Also, many old songs are returning in the form of remakes and performance-driven cinema is also being seen again. Grover said – Public also agrees with this. Grover mentioned about a recent dinner in which Shatrughan Sinha, Rakesh Roshan were present. He told that in the dinner, Shatrughan mentioned the film Dhurandhar and said that he should have been in it. According to Grover, Sinha also said that if he had played the role of Rehman the dacoit, it would have been better. Grover agreed to this and said that the public also agrees with this. Giving the example of Dhurandhar, Grover said that old roles and film elements are returning to films today. According to him, many characteristics of that period are now visible again.
