The government is not only increasing the amount of assistance, but is also taking the responsibility itself to remove the remaining problems of the disabled. Now distribution camps for disabled people will be set up in every district of UP. Necessary goods will be distributed through these camps. Along with this, the work of cochlear implant (technology that helps in hearing) will also be expedited, so that children can get timely treatment.

In view of this, the government has instructed the officials to increase the grant amount given for the maintenance of mentally handicapped inmates from Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000. The purpose of this decision is to help such people in meeting their daily needs, so that they can get better care.
CM Yoga told the officials that the benefits of all the ongoing schemes for disabled people should reach every eligible person. He directed to pay special attention to the effective implementation of the schemes, so that no needy person is deprived of government help.
