UP के सुल्तानपुर में आंधी-तूफान का कहर… 2 मासूम समेत 7 की मौत, 21 घायल – sultanpur storm rain 7 dead 21 injured districts affected lclcn
The strong storm and rain that occurred in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday caused huge devastation. Seven people, including two children, died in this natural disaster, while more than 21 people were injured. All the injured have been admitted to the district hospital. The district administration has started taking action to help and compensate the affected families.
The maximum impact of the storm was seen in many areas of the district including Baldirai, Haliapur, Akhandnagar, Bandhuakala and Kudwar police station areas. Life was disrupted due to falling of trees and electric poles at various places.

20 year old Mahendra Tiwari, resident of Shivvansh Dubey, entire Kudwar police station area, died on the spot after an electric pole fell on him. He had returned home from abroad ten days ago for his sister’s wedding and was going to Aliganj market with his family on Wednesday evening to get his sister’s tilak.
Accidents in Baldirai and Haliapur
Two people lost their lives in Baldirai police station area. Suresh Kumar Sonkar’s eight-year-old daughter Mahima, studying in class three in Kasba Mafiaat, died due to a brick falling on the roof. At the same time, 58-year-old Rambaran died when a tree fell on his house in Singhani village, while his wife Shyamalali is seriously injured.
35-year-old Rita, wife of Bam Bahadur, died after a mud wall and roof collapsed in Dobhiara village of Haliyapur police station area. Rita was the mother of three children.
Vijay Bahadur’s eight-year-old son Sureman died on the spot in Varandpur village of Akhandnagar police station area, while 16-year-old Vikas and 11-year-old Kishan were seriously injured.
Heavy losses in other areas also
40 year old Sushma Gupta died after a jamun tree fell on her in Aliganj Dawoodpur of Bandhuakala. 70 year old Kevala Devi lost her life after a mud wall collapsed in Patna Manipur under Kurebhar police station area. 10 people have been injured in Kurebhar block area, who are undergoing treatment.
Due to the fall of a huge Neem tree in Dubeypur block area, the roof and tin shed of Munnilal Kori’s house collapsed, in which his wife Dhanau and daughter Sunaina were injured. In this storm, the toll plaza located at 80 km of Purvanchal Expressway was also damaged, due to which people had to face problems for hours.
Administration engaged in relief work
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, District Magistrate Inderjit Singh directed the officials to provide assistance to the affected families from the State Disaster Response Fund within 24 hours. Teams of Revenue and Medical Department are engaged in relief and rescue work and the damage is being assessed. The administration has appealed to the people to follow the warnings of the Meteorological Department and stay in safe places during bad weather.
