The fast track court, concluding the hearing in a seven-year-old murder case on Tuesday, has sentenced the mother and her three sons to death. This case is of June 17, 2019, when a young man named Shekhar was brutally murdered in a village under Bhaurakala police station area. It was told that Shekhar had lent some money to accused Pradeep. When he went to ask for his money back, a dispute started over this very matter.

The dispute gradually escalated to such an extent that a fight started after abuses. It is alleged that Pradeep, Sandeep, Sonu and their mother Mukesh together caught Shekhar and attacked him with sticks, rods and bricks. Shekhar suffered serious head injuries during the attack and died on the spot. After the incident, the family of the deceased had registered a case at Bhaurakala police station. In this, a case was registered against Pradeep, Sandeep, Sonu, their mother Mukesh and father Rajkumar under various sections of the IPC. The police took action and arrested all the accused and sent them to jail.

The young man was murdered by beating him with sticks and bricks.

The hearing of this case was going on in the fast track court. After a hearing that lasted for seven years, the court gave its verdict. The court has found Pradeep, Sandeep, Sonu and their mother Mukesh guilty and sentenced them to death. Besides, a fine of Rs 50-50 thousand has also been imposed on each. Another accused in this case, his father Rajkumar, has already died while in jail. For this reason the court’s decision came only on four accused.

Three sons including mother sentenced to death

Giving information about this matter, ADGC Kuldeep Kumar said that the incident happened on June 17, 2019. He told that Pradeep had borrowed money from Shekhar and when Shekhar went to ask for money, an altercation broke out between the two parties. After this the accused together murdered him. He said that the prosecution made a strong plea in this case. Rahul Kumar, brother of the deceased, clearly narrated the entire incident in the court, which helped in proving the case. On this basis the court gave this strict decision.

Mother and three sons hanged, each fined Rs 50,000

ADGC also informed that there were a total of five accused in this case, out of which one has already died. The court has found the remaining four accused guilty and awarded them death penalty and has also imposed a fine on them. This decision is being considered an important result of the judicial process. This decision, which came after seven years, has made it clear that the culprits in serious crimes are given strict punishment. At present, there is an atmosphere of discussion in the area after this decision and people are considering it as a big judicial decision.
