- Approached the court alleging domestic violence: Sapna Choudhary filed a petition under the Domestic Violence Act in Delhi’s Dwarka Mahila Court. A hearing on this was held on Tuesday. In the petition, Sapna had alleged that she was beaten and abused several times during her married life. The situation had become so bad that she had to leave her in-laws’ house.
- Anxiety increased before the premiere of the film ‘Momaku’: Advocate Preeti Singh, on behalf of Sapna, argued in the court that her film ‘Momaku’ is going to be released soon and its premiere is also going to happen. In such a situation, Sapna needs protection. Veer Sahu can create a ruckus by attending a public event or a film premiere. This may affect Sapna’s safety and her work.
- Magistrate ordered no contact: While hearing the case, Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Singh ordered that Veer Sahu will not contact Sapna Chaudhary through any means till the next hearing. He has also been prevented from going to Sapna’s house, workplace or her surroundings. The court had also made it clear that the defendant i.e. Veer Sahu would not commit any kind of domestic violence or harassment. The court has ordered the concerned protection officer and the local police station in-charge (SHO) to ensure compliance with the court’s instructions.
