– s sreesanth three year ban revoked kca team india cricketer tspoa
Former Indian team fast bowler S. Sreesanth has got a big relief. Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) has lifted the three-year ban imposed on him. Last year, KCA had suspended Sreesanth for allegedly making ‘defamatory statements’ against the board. Now after apologizing unconditionally, the board has changed its decision.
According to the report of The Times of India, the decision to end Sreesanth’s suspension was taken in the meeting of Kerala Cricket Association held on July 1. However, the board has clearly warned that if such behavior happens again in future, strict disciplinary action will be taken against them.
Had supported Sanju
The whole controversy started when Sanju Samson was dropped from the Kerala team for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. After this decision, Sreesanth openly supported Sanju Samson and criticized the Kerala Cricket Association.
He had said, ‘They bring players from other states to our team. Why after all? This is an insult to our Malayali players. At the international level we have only Sanju Samson. We should support them.

S. After this statement of Sreesanth, KCA termed it as tarnishing the image of the board and imposed a ban on him for three years. Sreesanth had also approached the Thiruvananthapuram Munsiff Court against the suspension, but his petition was rejected. After this he submitted an unconditional apology to KCA, after considering which the board decided to lift the ban.

After the ban was lifted, S. Sreesanth will now be able to rejoin Kerala Cricket League (KCL). He is the co-owner of the KCL franchise Aries Kollam Sailors and will now be able to work in this role without any restrictions. When the controversy escalated, the Kerala Cricket Association hit back at Sreesanth and said that he did not have proper knowledge of Kerala cricket.
Kerala Cricket Association had also said in its statement that even though the criminal proceedings in the IPL spot-fixing case may have ended, it does not mean that Sreesanth was completely acquitted of the charges. Also, KCA claimed that after the completion of the ban period, it had given Sreesanth a place in the Ranji team as a goodwill gesture.
