CBSE का थ्री लैंग्वेज पॉलिसी का मामला सुप्रीम कोर्ट पहुंचा, अगले हफ्ते होगी सुनवाई – cbse three language class 9 policy case reached supreme court students parents demands ngix
The controversy related to CBSE is not ending. After on-screen marking, questions are continuously being raised regarding the three language policy. Now this matter has reached the threshold of law. A petition has been filed on behalf of some students and parents. Senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi has filed a public interest litigation in the Supreme Court. In the petition, he said that it is not right to suddenly put pressure on class 9 students to study additional languages.
The matter was immediately raised before a bench headed by the Chief Justice of India. After this the Supreme Court said that it will hear this next week.
How can you suddenly read something new?
Rohatgi, citing the petition filed in the Supreme Court, said that it is not practical to implement this new policy for the students who are nearing the board examinations. I don’t understand how a class 9 student can suddenly study two more languages and appear for the class 10 exam. He termed this policy as disruptive and said that it can create confusion and trouble among students, schools and parents. He demanded an immediate hearing from the court in this matter.
On this the Chief Justice said that the matter will be considered next week.
What is the three language policy of CBSE?
Let us tell you that CBSE had asked schools to implement the three language policy under the New Education Policy. Under this, it is necessary to study in two languages in schools and apart from this there can be any other language, which is usually English. That means, apart from Hindi and English, it is being made mandatory to study in another Indian language.
Why is there controversy?
Earlier it was being said that this policy would start from class 6 but now it has been implemented for class 9th and 10th students also. In such a situation, parents say that their child has not studied any other language since 6th class and doing so suddenly can create pressure on them.
