Advance booking of Bhoot Bangla is slow: Only 14 lakh tickets were sold on the first day, Dhurandhar-2 may cause loss, earlier too it was postponed due to fear of clash.

Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer horror comedy film Bhoot Bangla is scheduled to release on April 17. With this film, the iconic duo of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, who had made Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, is making a comeback, from which the audience had high expectations, but the expectations seem to be dashed due to the lackluster response to the trailer and slow advance booking. If reports are to be believed, director Priyadarshan has made changes in the film 2 days before its release and has also reduced its length. According to industry tracker website Sacknilk, the film Bhoot Bangla has so far made an advance booking collection of only Rs 14.3 lakh. This film is currently far behind the advance collection of Akshay Kumar’s films released last year, Jolly LLB 3, Housefull 5 and Kesari Chapter 2. First day advance booking of Akshay’s films released in 2025. Currently, there are 2 days left for the film to be released, so the advance collection of the film is expected to increase. It remains to be seen whether it breaks the records of previous films or not. Censor used scissors on many scenes. On April 2, the film got UA 16+ certificate from the Censor Board. For this, the makers were suggested to make many major changes in the film. Censor’s scissors worked on these scenes. Director Priyadarshan kept making changes till the last moment. After the cuts suggested by the Censor Board, the runtime of the film was 174.57 minutes (2 hours 54 minutes). However, later the film’s director Priyadarshan, being unhappy with some parts of the film, voluntarily cut them. According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, 10 days after getting the certificate from the Film Censor Board, he has made not one or two but 63 cuts in the film. He also made changes in the songs of the film O Sundari, O Re O Saawariya and removed 27 seconds of the shot. After all these changes, 10 minutes 5 seconds have been reduced from the film. The trailer also did not get positive response. The trailer of the film Bhoot Bangla has been released on 6 April. The audience had high expectations from the trailer of the film, but the makers did not show any newness in it. Akshay Kumar was seen in characters like Hera-Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The set is grand, but looks very similar to old films. The dialogues and songs of the film also did not do much good. Release date repeatedly changed due to Dhurandhar 2 The film Bhoot Bangla was scheduled to release on 2 April, however, after the success of Dhurandhar 2, it was postponed to 15 May to avoid a clash. After this it was preponed and scheduled for April 10, but then the final date was fixed for April 17.
