An investigation has been started regarding the alleged threat received by Aamir Khan for marrying for the third time. After the voice clip and social media posts surfaced on Saturday, police increased security outside Aamir Khan’s house in Pali Hill, Bandra West. However, Aamir Khan is currently out of the country.
According to Hindustan Times report, police officials said that neither the authenticity of the voice clip nor the social media post has been confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Mumbai Police Commissioner Devan Bharti said, “We are investigating the authenticity of the social media post and voice clip.”

Aamir had given clarification on the allegation of Love Jihad
After marrying for the third time, actor Aamir Khan is being called the brand ambassador of Love Jihad on social media. In a conversation with Rediff, Aamir said on these allegations – ‘In all three of my marriages, none of my wives converted because the marriages were civil marriages. The third wife Gauri is not a Hindu but a Christian.
Aamir said- ‘My daughter Ira is married to a Hindu. The husbands of my two sisters Nikhat Khan and Farhat Khan are also Hindus. Cousin Mansoor is married to a Christian.

What does Indian law say on third marriage?
Third marriage is not illegal in India. The law only looks at whether a person’s previous marriage has been legally ended at the time of the marriage.
If the first and second marriages have been legally divorced or the spouses have passed away, the third marriage is completely valid. But remarrying without divorce can be considered bigamy and is a legal offence. In such a situation, under Section 82 of the Indian Justice Code (BNS), the marriage will be invalid and there can be a jail term of 7 years.
Only under Muslim Personal Law, a Muslim man is allowed to marry maximum 4 at a time. If the marriage is being registered under the ‘Special Marriage Act’, then this exemption is lost and the rule of monogamy applies there also.
In the case of Aamir Khan, he got a legal divorce from his first wife Reena Dutta in 2002 and from his second wife Kiran Rao in 2021. In such a situation, his marriage with Gauri Spratt will be considered valid.
