Coimbatore: The 33rd Mahashivratri celebrations will be held on February 15 at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore, said Dakshina Kaila Bhakti Perabhai. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will be the special guest on the occasion, while lakhs of fans as well as several Union Ministers, film stars and other celebrities will attend the celebrations.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, I&B and Parliamentary Affairs Minister L Murugan and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion.The Mahashivratri festival of Isha will be celebrated from 6 pm on the 15th before Adiyogi and will continue till 6 am the next day.Held in front of Adiyogi with Sadhguru, the festival will feature powerful meditation, mantra chanting, Yogeswara Linga Maha Abhishekam and musical performances by top artistes.For the first time, this year on Mahashivratri, Sadhguru Adiyogi will dedicate the spiritual process of ‘Maha Abhishekam’ to the previously installed Yogeswara Linga.The Abhishekam ceremony will include chanting of specific mantras and offerings to increase the blessings of the Yogeswara Linga.General public can participate in this Grand Abhishek for free by registering the necessary information on the online platform.The highlight of the Isha Mahashivratri festival will be the powerful meditation led by Sadhguru during mid-night evening and Brahmamukhurtha.In our Indian spiritual tradition, the day of Shivratri, which falls in the month of Masi, is celebrated as Mahashivratri. On this day, the planetary alignment naturally supports the human life force.To enable people to fully utilize this spiritual potential, our culture has celebrated Mahashivratri with an all-night vigil for thousands of years.In 2023, President Draupadi Murmu attended the Isha Mahashivratri festival as the guest of honor at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.Addressing the Isha Maha Shivratri celebrations, President Murmu said, “I feel particularly blessed to be here today on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri in the presence of Adiyogi.”Apart from the President, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and Tamil Nadu Minister Thiru Mano Thangaraj were also present on the occasion.The President was received by Sadhguru at the Yoga Centre, where he attended the Panch Bhutha Kriya (Purification of the Five Elements) conducted by Sadhguru at Dhyanlinga. It is considered a unique and powerful energy form that has been consecrated by Sadhguru as the gateway to liberation.
