Prakash Raj has joined the cast of Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Drishyam 3’. The actor shared this information on social media on Tuesday. It is worth noting that a few days ago it was in the news due to the news of Akshay Khanna’s exit from the film. Let us tell you that Prakash Raj made it clear that he is not replacing anyone.
Prakash Raj posted on Instagram that he has started shooting for the Hindi version of the film. He described it as an “engaging franchise” and talked about joining a great team and strong characters. He also clearly wrote, “Yes, I am not replacing anyone.”

This update comes amid reports of Akshay Khanna’s exit from the franchise. Recently there was news that despite his brilliant performance in ‘Drishyam 2’, Khanna left the project.
It is reported that a new character has been written especially for Prakash Raj in the third part. The film is being directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also directed its second part.

Ajay Devgan will once again play the role of Vijay Salgaonkar. The cast includes Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav. The screenplay is written by Abhishek Pathak, Amil Kiyan Khan and Parvez Shaikh. The film will be released theatrically on 2 October 2026. It is noteworthy that fans often remember this date as “Drishyam Day”. The Malayalam version ‘Drishyam 3’, starring Mohanlal in the lead role and directed by Jeetu Joseph, is expected to release on April 2.
