Story
Chander (Vikrant Massey) is a simple boy. His dream is to open a café in the mountains. He wants to get married and have children and spend his life in the mountains. Chandar’s mother wants to get him married. Sends him to meet girls. During this time he meets Sudha (Vedika Pinto). After meeting Sudha, Chandar’s boring life gets a twist of excitement. Sudha is lively and cool. She likes to live in the moment. She should not marry or have children. He has to fly high in his career.
There is a twist in the story when one day she leaves love and sets out to fulfill her dreams. After being heartbroken, Chandar fulfills his dream of building a café in the mountains. love in his lifeMahima Makwana) is entered. Together they run Musafir Café. Then one day Sudha comes back. Why watch?
The story of ‘Musafir Cafe’ is simple. You must have seen such love stories before also. But the treatment the director has given to this simple story keeps you hooked to the show. Be it Sudha-Chandar’s fun, love, emotions or Preeti’s dedication to Chandar. Vikrant has again done wonders in the role of Chandar. He looks like Chandar, not Vikrant. Vedika as Sudha looks impressive. Before this he had worked in Operation Romeo, Gumrah and Nishanchi. But Sudha’s role enhances her versatility. Mahima Makwana is stunning as always. There was stagnation in his acting. Adil Hussain shined among the rest of the cast. His character was small, yet he left a mark.
Cinematography is amazing. The beauty of the mountains has been shown in a brilliant manner. Musafir Cafe is a double bonanza of romance, on one side there is Chander-Sudha’s modern romance, which is intense and passionate. Whereas Chander-Preeti’s mature love, in which the charm of old school love story is visible. That love which has no conditions. Both the love angles touch the heart.

Where did the mistake happen?
The songs of the series are average. The story may feel a little slow in the beginning. The story being predictable also gives it a minus point. You are not going to get any shocking movement. If the screenplay had been a little tighter, it could have made a stronger show.
But despite some flaws, this series of director Ruchir Arun touches the heart. The story is not extra ordinary, but still makes you cry. Hurts your emotions. Even after the series is over, it lingers in your heart and mind. If you like light-hearted romantic stories, then Vikrant’s series can be binge watched.
