Another new city is going to take shape in Yamuna Authority (YEDA) area. This city will be established on about eight thousand hectares of land between Noida Airport and Tappal-Bajna Urban Node. Earlier there was a plan to develop only industrial node (industrial area) in this area, but now Yamuna Authority has made a big change in its plan. Not only industry, but a complete eco-system will be created here.
All types of modern facilities will be available in this new city. Along with industrial, residential sectors will also develop. Schools, colleges, universities, big hospitals, hotels, malls and shopping complexes will be built. Yamuna Authority has started searching for an expert agency to prepare the techno-economic feasibility report and masterplan of this ambitious project.
Agencies will be able to submit their bids till August 5. Technical bids will be opened on 7th August. The selected agency will get 6 months time to prepare the feasibility report. After the report comes, the final masterplan of the city will be prepared in the next 4 months. As soon as the masterplan gets the green signal, the work of developing the city on the ground will begin. This will accelerate development here.
Stuck project in Sports City will get momentum
Along with this, to speed up the stuck residential project of Sports City of Sector-150, Noida Authority has given approval to bring Joint Developer (JD) if necessary in the stuck project on SC-2 plot. With this decision, builders facing financial crisis will be able to take financial support from another builder group to revive the project. With this, the project will be completed and the hope of flat buyers to get their homes soon will also increase.
There was a complete ban on construction on Sports City, which was embroiled in controversy for 15 years, from 2021. After the Supreme Court order in December 2025, efforts to revive the Sports City have started. Due to this, the layout plan of Sector-150 SC-2 plot (300 acres) was passed recently. After that many builders have applied for plan approval.
The Supreme Court’s decision for SC-1 plot also came in May this year. Its layout plan is currently being prepared. After approval of the layout plan, its builder will also apply for building plan approval. There are 24 builder projects on SC-2 plots and 27 builder projects on SC-1 plots. A total of 24 projects of sublease builders are stuck on SC-2 plot located in Sector-150. At present, the authority has given approval to bring JD on this plot but it is believed that later the approval will be given to bring JD in Sports City also.
