A total of 19 people have been named. Six of these people have been arrested.
Actually, this case is about illegal allotment of government land of Jhau category located on the banks of Ganga in Asadpur, Sukhaila and surrounding villages of Gunnaur tehsil. Accountant Swati Sharma posted in Gunnaur tehsil has lodged an FIR in the police station. Here, 1144 bighas of government land of Sukhaila was in the process of consolidation, but 19 years ago, after 2007, fake documents of government land were prepared and leases were allotted.
After this, in the year 2018, the issue of allotting fake leases arose. A case was registered against the then officers and 5 dozen beneficiaries, but in the year 2019, the then SDM Omveer Singh had re-allocated the leases in favor of 162 beneficiaries. When the allotted pattas were examined, many irregularities regarding the area of the land were revealed. After this, in 2023, the leases of 17 ineligible people were cancelled, while the leases were registered in the names of 145 people. Here, fake documents were prepared on a large scale for land leases on the banks of Ganga.

In this, it was confirmed that the land leases on the banks of Ganga were allotted on the basis of fake documents. In this, the story of collusion between the concerned officers and employees came to light. Along with this, there was talk of departmental action.

Accountant Swati Sharma filed a complaint at Gunnaur police station on 2 July. In this, a case was registered against 19 people including the former and present dismissed SDM Omveer Singh of Gunnaur Tehsil, the then Tehsildar of Gunnaur and SDM Karam Singh, currently posted in another district, former DGC, the then village head, the then Assistant Consolidation Officer, District Panchayat member, Lekhpal and Kanungo. After this, on the instructions of SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, the crackdown started on those who allotted fake lease of 1000 bigha land.
The police have arrested the former and present dismissed SDM of Gunnaur Omveer Singh, former village head Vikrant, the then Chakbandi Lekhpal Bhimrao Singh, former district government advocate Jai Bhardwaj, former Kanungo Rajveer Singh and former Chakbandi Lekhpal Mahendra Singh and presented them in the court. After this, all the 6 accused have been sent to jail from the CJM court.
