There was a stir at the headquarters of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat. A bomb threat was sent through an email, after which the security agencies took immediate action and evacuated the entire premises. This incident created an atmosphere of panic among scientists and employees.
Police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) started a search operation. No information has been received so far about any suspicious object or bomb, but security agencies are taking the threat very seriously. This incident has also raised questions on the security arrangements of the country’s premier scientific institute.

ISRO headquarters received an email in which there was a bomb threat. As soon as the email was received, the officials immediately implemented the emergency protocol. The entire complex was evacuated and security was increased in the surrounding areas. Bengaluru Police, bomb disposal squad and other security agencies reached the spot.
The teams searched the entire ISRO campus thoroughly. No suspicious object has been found so far in this search that lasted for hours. However, the investigation is still ongoing. Officials are trying to trace the email from where it was sent and who sent it.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner said that the investigation is being done in collaboration with security agencies from across the country. Cyber cell is busy finding out the IP address of the email, the identity of the person sending it and the purpose.
