In Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, the administration has taken another major action against the youth arrested for allegedly posting objectionable posts on social media regarding the Ram Temple offering theft case. On Tuesday, the district administration sealed his gym located on Garhwar Road in the city. Officials say that during the investigation, necessary documents related to the operation of the gym were not found and fire safety standards were also not followed.

City Magistrate Asharam Verma said that a joint team of administration, police and fire department inspected the gym. During the investigation, license and other necessary documents were asked from the operator, but he could not produce them. Apart from this, the gym was operating in the basement of the building and mandatory fire extinguishers were also not available there. On the basis of these shortcomings, the administration sealed the gym with immediate effect.

Earlier on Sunday, a case was registered against 28-year-old Irshad Ali, resident of Parmandapur. Complainant Vivek Kumar Pathak had alleged that Irshad had made objectionable comments on Facebook regarding the alleged embezzlement of offerings in the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The complaint said that the purpose of the post was to hurt the faith of crores of Ram devotees, spread confusion and disturb communal harmony.

Baliya According to Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh, the police had arrested Irshad Ali on Monday. Further investigation is going on in the matter.

On the other hand, the case of embezzlement of Ram temple offerings has also become a topic of discussion in the politics of the state. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav had on June 7 alleged embezzlement of offerings in the temple. After this, on June 13, the Uttar Pradesh government formed a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the entire matter. Eight people have been arrested so far after the SIT’s preliminary investigation indicated serious irregularities in the management of offerings. The investigating agencies are probing various aspects of the case and the administration says that action will continue against the culprits as per rules.
