Actor Satendra Soni, who rose to fame with Kiran Rao directed film ‘Laapta Ladies’, has accused a film producer-director in Maihar, Madhya Pradesh of fraud and mental harassment. He says that even after the shooting was completed, he was not paid wages. Satendra narrated his ordeal by sharing a crying video on social media. As soon as the video surfaced, Maihar police swung into action and sent him and his companions safely to Mumbai. Now after reaching Mumbai, he has thanked the police and those who helped him. Meher Satendra Soni, who had arrived for the shooting of ‘Pet Palki’, posted a crying video on social media. In this, he accused film producer-director Pushpendra Singh of not paying money after the shooting, threatening and mentally harassing him. Satendra told that he was called to Maihar for the shooting of the film ‘Ped Palki’. He worked continuously for eight days, but after the shooting was completed the producer refused to pay him remuneration. He was also threatened when he asked for money, which left him under mental stress. Police and local administration sent him off safely. After the video surfaced, Maihar police and local administration immediately took cognizance. Police talked to Satendra and his associates. The artists told that they no longer want to stay and work in Maihar. After this, the police sent him to Mumbai by train with full security. On Sunday morning, Satendra released another video from Mumbai railway station. In this he informed about reaching Mumbai safely along with fellow actors Shridhar Dubey and Pankaj Sharma. After reaching Mumbai, he said – thanks for the support. Posting the video, Satendra Soni wrote, “We have reached Mumbai safely. Many thanks to the Maihar Police and all those who supported us in this difficult time.” In the video, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Maihar SP Awadhesh Pratap Singh, Kotwali TI Animesh Dwivedi and the entire Maihar police for helping in the time of crisis. After watching the video, the police reached the artists. Maihar Kotwali police station in-charge (TI) Animesh Dwivedi said that as soon as the video surfaced on social media, the police team reached the artists. The artists told that they do not want to work here anymore. After this, Satendra Soni and his colleagues were sent to Mumbai by train with full security.
