New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday allowed a second post-mortem in the death of Tisha Sharma.This should be done as soon as possible, the court observed, citing the bar and bench.Tisha, found hanging in her matrimonial home on May 12, had her postmortem conducted at AIIMS, Bhopal. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh government on Friday proposed handing over the investigation into the case Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).“It is proposed to transfer the investigation of the case registered at Katara Hills police station under Sections 80(2), 85, 3(5) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act regarding the dowry death incident that took place on May 12, 2026,” PTI, Invest Bureau, reported to Invest Bureau Central.Late Tisha Sharma’s family members welcomed the Madhya Pradesh government’s decision on Friday.Reacting to the development, Tisha Sharma’s uncle, Lokesh Sharma, said the state government had finally moved towards justice, though he believed the decision should have been taken much sooner.“We welcome it. The Madhya Pradesh government has now taken a step towards justice for the victims, a step that should have been taken long ago. We thank the MP government for this,” he told ANI.Twisha’s cousin Ashish Sharma alleged that the delay in the investigation was a result of the influence of the accused and called for accountability for those who supported them after the crime.“It is very clear that this delay is due to their power and influence. The government should look at who is helping the criminals after the criminals. It is the hard work of those who have worked for thirsty justice. We are grateful to the officials for this decision but the delay will always hurt us. This should not happen to anyone else. Timely action should not be taken, justice should not be rich or flu.”
