There has been huge loss of life due to unseasonal rain, severe storm and lightning in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. A total of 89 people have died so far due to these natural disasters in the state, while along with human loss, animal loss and economic loss have also occurred on a large scale. Taking immediate cognizance of this situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the administration to remain on alert mode. He has made it clear that the work of providing relief to the families of the deceased and other victims must be completed within 24 hours.
DM and senior officers themselves reached the spot
The Chief Minister has asked District Magistrates (DM) and officials of the concerned departments to come out of the AC rooms and visit the affected areas directly. CM Yogi has directed that senior officials of the district should personally meet the victims and establish communication with them and ensure all possible assistance. He has warned that any kind of negligence in relief work or ignoring the victims will not be tolerated.
Damage survey and compensation process
To assess the economic and agricultural loss, the Revenue, Agriculture Department and insurance companies have been entrusted with the responsibility of jointly conducting the survey. CM has directed that based on the survey report, an accurate assessment of the loss should be made and the government should be informed immediately. In cases of animal loss and crop destruction, it has also been said that compensation should be given as soon as possible, so that the affected families can get financial support in this time of crisis.
Akhilesh Yadav expressed condolences, raised demands
Here, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has also expressed deep sorrow over this devastation in the state. He posted on X that there has been huge damage in many districts including Bhadohi, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra and Badaun. He has demanded from the government that relief work should be carried out on a war footing and along with free treatment of the injured, arrangements for food, water and temporary accommodation should be made immediately for the affected.
CM’s instructions
Chief Minister on damage caused by storm, rain and lightning in Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Has taken strict cognizance. There have been reports of loss of life, loss of animals and damage to houses from 19 districts including Barabanki, Bahraich, Kanpur Dehat and Hardoi. Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, CM Yogi has directed all the District Magistrates to immediately inspect the spot and complete the survey as soon as possible and release the compensation amount. He has ordered to give priority to relief work and share updates related to compensation distribution and rescue operations on social media every 3 hours.
