New Delhi: Himanta Biswa Sharma As sworn Chief Minister of Assam For the second consecutive term on Tuesday, he became the first non-Congress leader in the state to achieve the feat.The swearing-in ceremony of the BJP-led NDA government in Assam for the third consecutive term will be held at 11:40 am at the Veterinary College ground in Khanpara.Prime Minister Narendra Modi Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and Sarbananda Sonowal are expected to attend the event along with senior BJP leaders and Union ministers. BJP national president Nitin Naveen and several NDA chief ministers and deputy chief ministers are also likely to attend.Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya, who on Sunday formally installed Sarma as chief minister, will administer the oath of office and secrecy to him and the new cabinet.Sarma, who became the first chief minister in 2021, will now join a select group of BJP leaders led by Prime Minister Modi, holding the top post for consecutive terms in their state.
