Omar Abdullah meets Amit Shah, discusses the state of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah See you on Monday Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in New Delhi and discussed “restoration of statehood” among other issues.A government spokesperson said the meeting “discussed the prevailing security and economic situation in J&K with an emphasis on ensuring lasting peace, stability and inclusive growth for the people.“Transaction of trade norms, rationalization of reservations, and other key governance and public welfare issues related to Jammu and Kashmir were discussed,” he said.Abdullah stressed the importance of addressing governance-related concerns and accelerating developmental and welfare initiatives. “He also highlighted the need for continued coordination between the Center and the Jammu and Kashmir government on issues of public importance,” he said, adding that the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere.
