SRINAGAR: The PDP has rejected allegations by rival National Conference that three of its MLAs voted for the BJP in elections to four Rajya Sabha seats in Kashmir in October last year.The current war of words between the NC and the PDP stems from an RTI reply, which says that the Mehbooba Mufti-led party RS did not hire any polling agents during the elections in which the NC won three seats and the BJP the fourth despite a lack of numbers.Records indicate that at least four MLAs cross-voted in favor of BJP candidate Sat Sharma, who got 32 votes against the party’s strength of 28 in the polls held on October 24, 2025.
